An avid reader from a young age, I started writing stories in junior high. Drawn to unusual and adventurous stories, I created several characters that had numerous story fragments around them. These stories started to gel when I met my best friend at a summer camp in the Eastern-Oregon desert. We co-authored multitudes of plot lines, filling many notebooks and our heads with ideas of being published authors.
At University we got distracted with preparing for those “real jobs,” the careers that would support our families and keep food on the table. I had a few call center jobs, providing technical support and customer service. Then I branched into technical training, focusing on designing and creating eLearning, honing skills in technical writing, project management, subject matter expertise, and instructional design.
While I’ve been writing a mash up of science fiction, fantasy, and fairy tales in the background throughout my career, I’ve decided it’s time to get published and share my stories with whoever else enjoys them. I’m intrigued with the various options for Indie and self-publishing, so you may find my stories in various different formats as I experiment.
Today I live in the Oregon wine country and enjoy visiting the coast and the mountains. I find these incredible outdoor experiences inspiring for my creative endeavors.
